Lazy Dayz

The family spent the night up at the Sperry Cabin located in Sundance. We spent the 2 days, playing games, eating snacks, watching movies, and just being lazy. Sometimes, I feel we need this. Life can get so hectic that our bodies need time to relax and our minds need a break. After attending the PG ward, we headed up Provo Canyon. Part way up we had to load T&T's family and their stuff into the jeep because their town and country wouldn't make it in the snow without the 4-wheel drive. But we all made it safely after dad went back down to convince Tyler who was sure he could make it up the steep hill with his family in the back, without running them off the side. Yeah, I was a little worried and the spirit was telling me dad needed to go back to get them. I am not really sure what dad said, but I told him to tell Tyler, the spirit was speaking to me:) He is watching over us and he does speak to us through the spirit. What a wonderful thing!
We arrived, unloaded, ate lunch, then had some fun. They have pool (which my dad and Tyler gave me some good pointers on how to actually hit the Que ball), ping pong, air hockey, Foosball, and all of our card games. We played phase 10 - cards & dice and I would recommend the dice version! It was way fun and much quicker! We had snacks to eat (though not as much as my mom normally brings which was ok since I am trying to do better with my junk food intake) and ate delicious home cooked meals. The kids kept us laughing and Danny walked around with a handful of pretzels in his hand the whole time. Poor little Aspen got sick, she threw up and her tummy was hurting. Tyler and Dad gave her a blessing that night, and her happy little smile came back. She was more energetic and she carried a special glow like she knew her Heavenly Father was near. She was able to play games with us that night and the next day, though you could tell she still wasn't feeling great, she was happier. Sometimes I wish I had the faith of a little child. They are so innocent and know so much. It seems that adults tend to become distracted by the many things going on in our life, we forget how powerful our Father in Heaven can be and how near He truly is. Nick and Zoe came up for a bit and we had a blast. Though, after the kids went down, I felt kinda like the odd ball. My dad and mom were playing a game of pool and Nick & Zoe were playing Tiff & Tyler at Foosball. Me, well, I sat on the bed, alone, with nobody:( But I only let it get to me few a minute or two, then I started teasing mom and dad as I watched.

Aspen and I watched Ratatouille and fell asleep...
That night we played LOT of games and spilt lots of laughter:)

The next day...more games and more laughter...lots of laughter and smiles :)
Monday morning, we got into the hot tub. Not going to lie, it was disgusting and really needed to be cleaned. I couldn't stand it for very long, so I got out and jumped in the shower. ewe...
But we had a great time up in the mountains, away from reality for a little bit. Spending time with the family.
