I {Heart} TOSH (The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital) Acceleration! Their trainers are awesome! They work you hard and push you to help you achieve goals - unless, that is, a doctor strictly advises otherwise - this is why I no longer train there :( But they are GREAT! I trained with many of their trainers for a number of years and loved every second of it. I have become great friends with Megan through it all and Mike is great too (all their trainers are awesome)! They teach you proper technique, speed, agility, perseverance, coordination, endurance, and overall how to play your best game. I rotated from plyometric work to treadmill work and found myself improving and enjoying life everyday. I was so close to making their 17 mile an hour club, but due to my knee, my doctor finally ordered I stop the program {Dr. West first suggested then advised me to decrease intense play, I didn't , so he finally told me NO MORE - I do love him as a doctor and would definitely recommend him. I was discouraged when I was told "No More" but he is just trying to help relieve my pain and prevent a total knee from happening sooner than it needs to}. But I loved every second I trained with TOSH and find myself often returning to say "hi" to the trainers and get a re-boost of energetic funness! I can't explain it really. Walking into that place makes me want to try harder. Try to become a better person and find other ways to keep myself fit and happy.
With that being said, my dear friend Megan, has asked me a number of times, to help her on 2news on Thursdays. I love it! Seriously, when she texts me in need of a demonstrator, I jump to it. It is great experience and it is so much fun - even the 6 am segments. She asked me last minute to help her with the noon segment this time and I was there. Second week in a row, we worked on plyometric drills, the same type of stuff you actually do at TOSH Acceleration. I felt a little rusty since I hadn't done it in a while, but it went well, I believe.
I really enjoy myself when I am there with Megan. She truly motivates me to want to be a trainer myself, something I have been toying with for years. She has so much energy, she totally pumps me up! Thanks Megan, for asking me to help; for motivating me to not give up on life's many obstacles; for being there in much more than just fitness. You make me want to be a better person overall. You make me smile :)You pretty much ROCK my world!
