Car Wash...Sorta

It had been so nice lately, I decided to take some time and wash my car. It has been driving me crazy and has needed a good bath for a while, not to mention the inside needing some cleaning as well. So, I spent about 2 hours cleaning it. The outside looked horrible and spotty since I didn't have my shamy. My car wash soap is at the other house, so I used dawn dish soap (my mom said that's what my grandpa used all the time). Well, I wouldn't recommend it. It is the second time I have tried it and I am not impressed with the results. Nick got home just as I was finishing to inform me he DID have my brush and told me not to use dawn bc it can be bad on your paint. Well, I would consider him an expert, so I guess I should go buy some more soap...

The inside on the other hand looks great! Nick did tell me to use dawn on my leather seats and they cleaned really well. I was happy about the inside at least. Rex just chilled outside the entire time. He mostly laid on the back seat of my car as I vacuumed and basked in the sun while I was spraying water everywhere. In fact, after I was finished, I put my mats back and shut the doors. I hadn't realized he jumped back in and found him about 25 minutes or so later desperately peeking out the window. OMG! I run over to let him out and his tongue was hanging half way out of his mouth. Poor little wiener! I felt so bad...but he chugged some water and was laying in the shade in no time...perfectly ok. Thank goodness.
