My parents and I saw a special sight in Sandy, where they had a flag flying for every person who lost their life on Sept. 11, 2001. This year marks the 10th year anniversary of that day when America became a closer nation and our pride increased a bit more. I am so grateful for the hero's, who fight every day. The Soldiers at war, trying to make peace. For the firefighters, policeman, and EMT who sacrifice their life to help another. Standing in between all of the American Flags made me realize how lucky I am. It brought me a greater love for America and the freedoms that I have. It made me realize how great my life truly is, despite what little I go through compared to so many others out there. Attached to each flag was the name of someone who died that day and it explained a little about them and who they were. They recently finished a statue of Ground Zero that will be up all year round, and it sure is beautiful.
I am proud to be an American!
