I went with my parents to the Tulip Festival the last week it was showing. OMG! It was gorgeous! I cannot believe I had never been before. The tulips were in full bloom...well a lot of them were, there were a few dying and a few that hadn't opened yet. The area was HUGE! I didn't realize Thanksgiving Point owned that much property. We had some random couple take our picture and then my mom offered me to take there picture and send it to them through email...i guess I should send that...oops
The Secret Garden was pretty cool. You even had to go through a cave of vines to get in:)
There was a little Canadian Geese family across the fish pond. The little babies were so adorable. I went around the opposite side to get a better view.
There were streams and ponds throughout surrounded by gorgeous flowers.
Look closely at the tree above...do you see anything naturally carved into the tree's form?...at the base of the branches? Look closer:)
The falls were unbelievable. I loved just staring at them...
I am so glad I took the afternoon to go with my parents. Not very often do I find myself going with my mom and dad alone, with me being so busy as a single:) But it was great fun and we even went through the "vine maze" at the end and got lost for a short time. Don't worry though, I got us out.
After we left we went to dinner at In and Out Burger. This was the first time I had been there since they came to the Salt Lake area. We went in Saint George awhile back (at least I think it was St. George?). But it was so yummy! I just got there cheeseburger with a shake and between the 3 of us, we had plenty more fries than we were able to consume. I was starving though and even ate part of my mom's burger. Her reaction "Sarah are you ok?...Are you Pregnant!" haha. It was pretty funny, because I am normally not a HUGE meal eater; I typically eat a little at a time since that is all my stomach can handle.
So the tree above...there is a frog (or possibly a dino) face. Love it! People do often say I have quite the imagination bc I am always picking out stuff such as this.-Peanut
