American Girl Doll PaRtY!

I have been promising my little cousins an American Girl Doll Party for awhile now and I am so glad it is done. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time putting it together and loved watching the girls play with their dolls and use their imaginations. In fact, it took me back to my childhood when I would spend hours at a time playing with my dolls. But for weeks I was stressing how I could make the party perfect. First I wanted to make each of the girls and the dolls their very own aprons - to along with the sweetshop theme - but decided that was way too much money and a lot of work & time I didn't have. Then I wanted to make each of them their own little side canvas bag. Well, buy them and put a cute cupcake or something on each. Again, too much money and time. So, instead I made little mini cupcake stands, lots of decorations and we played lots of fun games. (Back Row) Whitley, Sydney, Gracie, Oaklee, Lea, Gabby, and Olivia
(Front Row) McKenna, Ellie, Lexi, and Morgan.
They all had their dolls and what joy they had on their adorable little faces. We decorated big and little cupcakes...not so sure this was a good idea as an after thought. There were sprinkles and frosting all over my Aunt Tammy's floor by the time they left! But they had fun doing it. I think Whitley had a tour of sprinkles an inch thick atop her cupcake!Oaklee got frosting and her nose (probably put it there her own self) and decided Kit had to do the same. And....Gracie with a mini cupcake on her nose...its Rodolph the Red Nosed Reindeer! This game they had to pull the candy off the string with their mouth. Then later (shown here) they had their dolls do it with their hands. Candy was flinging every which way. In fact, Gracie or Morgan, not sure who, was trying to get a smarties candy off, and when she let go, it went flying into the air along with the little candies splattering every which way, right as my uncle Ronald walked in (whose house it was)! hahaha! My lovely tissue pomp-pomps. The girls were super excited when they got to take them home. Olivia came and helped me. I think she enjoyed helping out and later we had a really good talk when I took her home. The girls had corn dogs (regular and mini size) for dinner with chips and juice. Then we also played pin the cherry on the cupcake and guess how much candy is in the jar; all so very fun! They were wild and crazy and loud. That many girls for 3 hours can give you a headache with their loud squeals, literally. But I am very glad I did it and so happy they all had a good time!
