Meet Thumper...My New Mazda RX-8!!!

Merry Christmas to me! I have to admit, I really will miss Tallulah, my red VW Convertible Beetle, but I am super excited about my new sports car! It has so much power and I think I will love having a stick again. The only thing I will have to get used to, switching back to premium gas...grr! But that's ok, I think I can handle that small adjustment. Though it may be missing the convertible part, it does have a sun roof. I love it! The color is actually a pearly white...its so purrty! So, why did I trade my cute bug in for a sporty car you ask? Well, I kinda wanted to get my monthly payments down as well as the insurance. Then I discovered how upside down I was on my beetle. So I went and got it appraised at a couple of places and sorta fell in love with this car. At first I wouldn't drive it bc it looked expensive and I didn't want to fall in love with a car that wouldn't meet the point of selling Tallulah in the first place. I didn't even look at the price. So I drove a Cobalt and wasn't in love. It just wasn't me. I went home and did some research. As I was looking at VW Southtown's website, I decided to take a peek. It was only going for 15,103. Oh my goonies! I called the sales guy that helped me at first, James, and told him I wanted to take it for a test run. Immediately I fell in love with my new friend, Thumper. It had power, I loved the sporty look, and it even had heated seats! We got back from the drive and I had a big smile on my face. I asked how much and James said, $18,900. Ummm....I don't think so. I couldn't remember the exact price, but I told him I saw it cheaper online. So I made him do some checking and sure enough, it was one of their Internet specials! It had only been on the lot for 2 weeks. Sweet! So, the deal really was incredible and the car is in really good condition for a 2006.

We left bc we were going to the Zoo lights and I wanted to think about it a little longer. I didn't have to think too hard though, the deal was just so awesome. So, on the way to Zoo Lights I called James and asked him to start drawing the papers and that we would be back later that night. We rushed back over to the car dealership after a wonderful evening at the lights and YES, I drove home in this beautifully awesome sports car last night... Look! It is even a 4-door! who knew?! not I...until they showed me:)

It even has a 6-disc cd changer which makes up for not having the audio adapter thingy for my ipod!

I love love LOVE it!
