SeMeStEr Is OvEr

I am FINALLY done with this semester. Whoo Hoo!!!! After my ice skating accident I sorta had to cut back on classes. So in the end I was only taking 6 credit hours, but with a blow to the head, that can seem like a lot. . . trust me. My brain is not as quick as it used to be and I have had a harder time concentrating for long hours as a time. Eventually my brain just shuts down. My Adobe Photoshop Teacher worked great with me and he totally understood. So I was able to catch up fairly quickly and finished right with the class. My english teacher on the other hand, that is a whole different story. He was a jerk in the end. When I first contacted him to let him know it may be awhile before I would be returning to school he said he was willing to work with me. So I thought, sweet, I have 2 great teachers. But then when I actually did return, he totally changed his attitude. He told me I had 9 absences that were counting against me and that I would have to do all these extra papers to make up my missed quizzes and in class assignments. Hello. . . I missed for a very good reason, I wasn't just out playing having fun. So after a while of pointless discussions I went to the Head guy in the English department. Well, he didn't really understand the whole situation either, so then I left even more frustrated then before! grrr! I felt like i was never going to finish and I really didn't want to deal with an incomplete. so here is the e-mail Chad (my instructor) sent following my visit with the head department:
Absences--I'll just totally ignore all the injury-related absences,
okay? You won't be held responsible for those (this only makes sense,
of course, and I've been thinking this all along, but for some reason
I didn't explain this correctly to you last night, sorry)>

Ps - No he told me, very clearly the absences would be held against me,so now he is changing his thinking completely!!!! then he explained some
other conditions but was never really clear about assignments I needed to do to make up. That was the other thing, the day I got back, I asked what
I needed to do to make up my missed quizzes and he kept saying, "I dont know,I will have to think about it." and this email was a week before school was
to get out and he still didnt have anything for me! Did he expect me to cram it all in in one night? Not with my new brain condition, I dont think so. Then a little later he sent me another e-mail:

It is best you communicate directly with your instructor in these types of situations. Not only is it somewhat disrespectful to your instructor to go above
them--especially when they've assured you they are working hard tofind a fair solution--but it's just never really an effective strategy
anyway (John Goshert would have been the one to talk to, btw, but eventhat wouldn't have necessarily been the best way to go about it). So,
just keep that for future reference. I'm not offended here by anymeans, but I feel like you deserve to know how it appears to your
instructor. Cool? Okay

Anyways, he was just horrible to work with. So for anyone who is going to UVU never take english from Chad Murphy. he is an undergraduate
and I leave him a HORRIBLE review!

But I am done and I feel good! Go to my photography blog and I have some of the work I did in my photoshop class.
I got an A in both classes!!!!
