Yard Sale

We had a huge yard sale the weekend of Memorial Day. When my Grandma Mason passed away last August, my parents moved into her house and since have welcomed Nick and I back home as well. Because of this move, we have 2 households full of stuff, plus a storage unit, trying to mesh into one small house. It doesnt work very well, so we had to completely de-junk. We filled up an entire U-Haul of stuff and stoff the majority of it, making about $600 (which will go towards our trip to California). It was a lot of work, loading the truck from 3 different destinations and unloading at a 4th, my Aunt Sandi's house. We decided to do it there because of the busy road she lives on. But I think doing it on memorial day weekend and in Taylrsville, slightly hurt us just a bit. But we were happy to get rid of a bunch of stuff and earn money we didn't have previously. Our morning started at 5:15 am - ish to go down to the house, price, and set up. On the way, Tyler and I spotted a little duck in the middle of I-215...It made me so sad bc I knew what the result would be. The poor thing was just standing there. (Mom and dad saw it get hit shortly after since they were behind us). So sad. BUT...his mate probably got hit, which is why he was there (birds mate for life) and so now I just think about them being happily together again!
This couch was my parents when they very first got married, almost 30 year ago. I was secretly hoping it wouldn't sell bc it is still a really good couch, just needs to be recovered is all. A good newly wed couch, not that I am hinting at anything, I promise....but it remains in our basement...hehe lucky for me:) Aspen kept going and getting the childrens books and wanted everyone to read to her. I guess it was good advertisement showing that kids love them. The 3 girls (my cousins - Gabby, Lea, & Oaklee) made posters and danced out front. They were pretty cute and VERY hyper!
Danny enjoyed exploring and biffed it a couple of times on my Aunt's giant hill. In fact, one of the times, he leaned on a shelf and down he went with it, toppling it over. But he was cool about it, just got up and walked away like nothing happened. He is a cute little stinker.-Peanut
